Celebrating 150 Years Farming: The Armstrong Legacy Continues with the Bergstrom & Bohn Families' Organic Elderberry Plantation

Family farm- has been in the Armstrong family for 150 years, soon to celebrate the Sesquicentennial Farm award.  Currently the farm is owned by the Bergstrom family and the Armstrong- Bohn family.  Jeff and Jill with the help of their 2 sons began the elderberry plantation with 6000 elderberry cuttings from a farm in Iowa in 2021.  The varieties planted include Ranch, Bob Gordon and Adams.

Joshua Bohn ( son)  has taken over the elderberry operation and attends many farmers markets and vendor opportunities.

The elderberry are grown without any chemicals to keep the health benefits that go along with organic production.

Celebrating Tradition and Innovation on the Armstrong Family Farm

For 150 years, the Armstrong family farm has been a beacon of agricultural heritage, poised to receive the prestigious Sesquicentennial Farm award. Now under the stewardship of the Bergstrom and Armstrong-Bohn families, the farm has embraced a new chapter with the introduction of an organic elderberry plantation.

In 2021, Jeff and Jill, alongside their two sons, embarked on this venture with 6,000 elderberry cuttings sourced from a renowned farm in Iowa. They carefully selected varieties known for their robustness and health benefits, including Ranch, Bob Gordon, and Adams, to cultivate.

Joshua Bohn, the dynamic son in the family, has since taken the helm of the elderberry operation. His dedication is evident as he actively promotes our organic produce at farmers markets and various vendor events, bringing the goodness of our elderberries to your table.

Commitment to Organic Excellence

Our elderberries thrive without the use of chemicals, ensuring the preservation of their natural health benefits. This commitment to organic farming reflects our dedication to sustainability and wellness.
